Book Blogger Hop - 9/7-9/13

Book Blogger Hop

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

What book series do you never want to see end?

MY ANSWER:

I normally do not read book series, but I wish there were sequels to:

FIREFLY BEACH
by Meira Pentermann

ROOTS OF THE OLIVE TREE
by Courtney Miller Santo

THE HOUSE OF SERENADES
by Lina Simoni

  1. Courtney Miller Santo is working on a book that is a sort of companion to The Roots of the Olive Tree.

  3. I like your take- I wouldn't have thought of it like that and added a sequel or add more books.. what a great idea!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my Friday Hops! I read a lot of series, but sometimes I appreciate a standalone novel so much more.

  5. I love certain types of series - like some science fiction. There are a few that I would love to see more books in, despite the impossibility (since the authors have passed away) like Anne of Green Gables books, or Anne McCaffrey's Pern books. I also would love to immerse myself in Harry Potter books forever. :)

  9. I find it refreshing that you don't read that many series, sometimes it feels like I'm reading too many series or trilogies!

  14. I don't read a lot of series either- there's so much good stuff out there, I hate to get stuck along one path. My kids love them, however, and wish that Artemis Fowl, Alex Rider, and Harry Potter could go on forever. My daughter also really enjoyed Anne of Green Gables, like Alyce. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Very nice to meet you!

  15. I wish that two of my favorite fantasy series would never end, but as neither of them are finished yet, I guess so far they haven't ended! One is The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss (he's working on book 3), and the other is the Gentlemen Bastard series by Scott Lynch (he's also working on book 3). If you like fantasy adventure, these are great series to get into!
