Teaser Tuesday - 10/30/2012

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My current read is CITY OF WOMEN by David R. Gillham

Page 141:

"And then winced as he shattered his glass on the floor.  She jumped back a step as if to save herself from his pounce, as if she could."

I am on page 28....not sure I like this book yet, and that quote makes it seem a bit violent.

Have a fun Teaser Tuesday.

  15. MY POST:

That night when the guards were smoking their opium and laughing, I tried to ask Faresh what she missed most about home.

Her reply was, “You must never think about home, you must think about this, this is your life now.”

  19. Sounds intense! Thanks for stopping by.

You asked about With Every Letter. So far it is okay. It has a cute twist to it with the Shop Around Corner (or You've Got Mail) idea to it, but I am having a hard time warming up to the main characters.
