Mailbox Monday - 11/12/2012

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, is on a blog tour!

The host for November is:

Kathy at http://bermudaonion.net/

Hope everyone had a good week.

I received some good books...some requested some not requested.

 GIVEAWAY

Before I list my books, please stop by my giveaway of THE GIRL ON THE CLIFF.

The Giveaway can be found in the Giveaway Tab across the top of my blog, directly under this post, or simply click here.

On Monday, November 5, I received:

1.  THE THIEVES OF LEGEND by Richard Doetsch, courtesy of David Brown of Simon and Schuster....this was an unrequested title.  It looks good and also scary.   :)

On Wednesday, November 7, I received:

1.  LIVE FROM THE ROAD by P. C. Zick, courtesy of the author.

On Friday, November 9, I received:

1.  THE AVIATOR'S WIFE by Melanie Benjamin, courtesy of LibraryThing...I won the book in their monthly book giveaways.  I am looking forward to reading this book.

On Saturday, November 10, I received:

1.  THE SHOLES KEY by Clarissa Draper, courtesy of Wi-Do Publishing.

I requested this from the publisher because I am a keyboarding teacher, and the cover is awesome and also Christopher Latham Sholes created the QWERTY keyboard as we know it today.  :)

How many of you knew that bit of trivia?

Don't you just LOVE the cover...and aren't you glad you know how to type?  :)

Wi-Do Publishing also sent me three books that are out of my genre, and I most likely will not read them, but thank you.

They are listed below.  Please check them out at Wi-Do Publishing if you like their genre.

1. WITH ALL MY LOVE, MISTY by Misty DiLello Covington.
2.  THE SOUL SEEKERS by Amy Saia.
3.  PREDATOR GIRL by S. B. Roozenboom

THANKS, Wi-Do.

2.  LIVE BY NIGHT by Dennis Lehane, courtesy of Tracy Diamond of Harper Collins.

  10. Great week and nice variety. I have Live by Night in audio which I want to get to soon. I also want to read The Aviator's Wife but so far have been unable to snag an early copy. Melanie Benjamin is from my home town, so eventually her book tour will arrive at my local bookshop but that means I have to wait!

  18. Hi Elizabeth,

A great haul of books this week, from a nice diverse range of genres and subject matter.

I quite like the sound of 'The Thieves Of Legend' and the Dennis Lehane, although I haven't read any of his books for some time now.

    Thanks for a good post.
