Teaser Tuesday - 11/6/2012

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser is from Page 3 of
THE GIRL ON THE CLIFF
by Lucinda Riley:

I just started to read this today, and the first paragraph which is below pulled me in already.  Enjoy!!

"The small figure was standing perilously close to the edge of the cliff.  Her luxuriant, long red hair had been caught by the strong breeze and was flying out behind her.  A thin white cotton dress reached to her ankles and exposed her small, bare feet."

  22. THE HOUSE LOOKED EXACTLY the same from the outside. Or almost exactly the same around Miss Spink and Miss Forcibles's door were blue and red lightbulbs that flashed on and off spelling out words, the lights chasing each other around the door.
pg 35 Coraline by Neil Gaiman (note: first words do appear in all caps)
