Tuesday Teaser - 12/4/12

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser is from THE SHOLES KEY by Clarissa Draper.  It is a murder mystery.  See the blood dripping from the keys.  :)

My teaser is from Page 125:

"We may have a serial killer on our hands.  One thing's for sure:  Margaret's Killer is the same as Lorna's," Dorland said.

I am almost done with the book.

It isn't bad....a little confusing at first, but getting good.

What pulled me in was the cover...I love old typewriters, and Christopher Latham Sholes is the inventor of the QWERTY keyboard that we all know and use today.

  3. And since I am a typing teacher and taught on manual typewriters back in my early years, they have a place in my heart. :) :)

    THANKS for stopping.

  4. I recently read that the QWERTY keyboard was designed to deliberately slow down typists; otherwise, they would type too fast and the keys would get stuck. :)

    Interesting teaser; thanks for sharing!
