Saturday Snapshot - 3/16/2013

My photos are of furniture my 90-year-old father made.

Aren't they gorgeous?

The photos were taken in his well-used workshop.  :)

 ********************
The bench is made from an antique bed's headboard and footboard.

The storage drawers are made from side drawers on a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books.  It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Alyce’s site.

  3. Oh, I love when furniture is made from other pieces, combining them in such a creative way.

I once had a favorite table that was placed on the bottom part of an old Singer sewing machine. I wonder what happened to it? Sigh

  10. OH ELIZABETH, is your dad interested in adopting, another lovely daughter. Love his projects. I have a set of 4 drawers, and an antique headboard, it's 3/4 so it's hard to fit to a mattress these days. What a great project.

  11. These are fantastic! I love the creativity. I think my mom has one of those sewing machine tables. Those drawers look very familiar to me.

  19. Elizabeth, I just love when old things are reused rather than just tossed on the trap heap. Great ideas.
