QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

What was the last book you read that was recommended by someone else? Did you like it?

MY ANSWER:

The last book that was recommended to me was:  

SATURDAY NIGHT WIDOWS by Becky Aikman.

I didn't particularly care for this book.  You can read my review from the link in the above paragraph.

  2. The last book I read on the recomendation of a friend was A Foreign Affair. A Passionate Life in Four Languages which I thoroughly enjoyed.

    I read and commented on your review of this book. Although it does af firt sound like a depresseing read, the whole focus of is on moving forward after loss, so it becomes an uplifting read!

  9. A Double Death on the Black Isle, by A. D. Scott. I think I saw the review on Cathy at Kittling: Books blog. I loved the Scottish setting and the small town newspaper characters. Delighted I discovered this book. Teresa of

  11. I always make sure to consider the source on book reviews. If they don't read things that I read, I generally don't take someone's recommendation.
