Book Blogger Hop - 5/31 - 6/6

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

What is your favorite series that you've finished all the books (more than 3 books) to?

MY ANSWER:

I normally don't read series, but the last series of books I read is going to "date" me.

I read THE KENT FAMILY CHRONICLES by John Jakes.  LOVED THEM.

I don't think I have read another series since then.  :)

Looking forward to everyone's answers...perhaps I will find a current series I may like. :)

  1. Hi Elizabeth,
I've read the Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva. That's the only series I've read but it's twelve books thus far.
    Regards.

  4. Oy, I had to look up who John Jakes is. My brain is apparently fried tonight. I haven't read any of his stuff, but I saw the miniseries North and South.... Does that count? *grin*

  5. Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache series are wry and highly entertaining books. Each title stands alone, however they are much more meaningful when read in order of publication, as a series. I highly recommend them for the elegant writing as well as the satifying stories.

  6. Hi Elizabeth, It was great running into you at BEA twice. The only series I can remeber finishing is Harry Potter. Nothing else comes to mind right now.

  8. I too love Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache and have read them all. I also like
    Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear
    Inspector Montalbano by Andrea Camilieri
Dr. Siri Paiboun by Colin Cotterill and
    Commissario Brunetti by Donna Leon.

I never miss one of these...I know I'm going to have a good time with any of them.

  14. hi, Elizabeth!

Oh, I've heard of this series! Wasn't it supposed to have been made into a TV miniseries? I really need to make time to read some American historical fiction. It's GREAT that you featured these books!

Thanks for visiting my blog, and commenting on my own BBH post!!

    Happy Reading!! :)
