Mailbox Monday - 1/6/14

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, has a permanent home now at Mailbox Monday.

 **********************
Every week Mailbox Monday will have a new linky posted for our Mailbox Monday links at Marcia's Mailbox Monday blog.

Here’s a shout out to the new administrators:

Leslie of Under My Apple Tree
Vicki of I’d Rather Be at the Beach
Serena @ Savvy Verse And Wit

THANKS to everyone for keeping Mailbox Monday alive.

I hope you had a good mailbox.

I received NO books this past week, but I really wasn't expecting any.

  11. I'm not sure how many books I'll be receiving this year, so I might have to count on freebies to make up my list.

Thanks for visiting The Busy Mom's Daily.

  16. Hi Elizabeth,

My mailbox never seems to be very full no matter what the week, usually just the one or two odd, author requests and a couple of free e-books that are too good to resist.

To be honest, although I often gaze with envy at the bulging mailboxes of some bloggers, I prefer the slow pace of new arrivals I have, as I just know that I couldn't keep up with anything more.

I seem to spend more time blogging than I do reading, but as I do both for pleasure, I really don't mind and am loathe to do one at the expense of the other!

I hope that you manage to catch up on some of your TBR books during this quiet time and have a good week.

    Yvonne

  18. Thank you for letting me know, Vicki.

Perhaps it was because of the holidays, but I haven't been getting too many books lately.

    I have cut back. :)

    THANKS for stopping.

  19. I agree, Yvonne.

I have cut back just because I have to. Too many books to read now, but it is fun to get some in the mail. :)

  20. No mailman in sight today. I don't think I saw one on Saturday either. Bogged down by weather, I think. Hoping for saner temps soon.

  28. I didn't participate in the meme this week, but I likely will next week, even though I'm only expecting one book, but a fabulous one-The Invention of Wings- I see that you have that one on your reading list for Waiting on Wednesday. I hope you enjoy it!
