Mailbox Monday - 4/28/14

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, has a permanent home now at Mailbox Monday.

Every week Mailbox Monday will have a new linky posted for our Mailbox Monday links at Marcia's Mailbox Monday blog.

Here’s a shout out to the new administrators:

Leslie of Under My Apple Tree
Vicki of I’d Rather Be at the Beach
Serena @ Savvy Verse And Wit

THANKS to everyone for keeping Mailbox Monday alive.

  1. Empty mailboxes are good especially when I have a toppling stack of books to be reviewed. :)

    Have a great week.

  2. I had one too, but I ordered a couple of Kindle books. I really shouldn't, but I can't help myself. Hope you have a great week.

  3. I let it go when my mailbox is empty. I figure I can TRY to get caught up.

    THANKS for stopping, Cheryl.

  4. I do like empty mailboxes sometimes...and then I make up for it by ordering lots of review books from Vine, even after promising myself to go easy! LOL

Enjoy your week...and thanks for visiting my blog.

  5. Empty mailboxes are a blessing for me. I don't add any more books when that happens. You are brave. :)

  7. Empty mailboxes give me time to go through the TBR pile - and make me appreciate even more the next books I get! Happy reading! :)

  10. Kay - good idea.

I never can throw any of my books out, though.

I do lend a lot out and am like a mother that missed her babies when they get returned. LOL!!

    THANKS for stopping.

  13. Hi Elizabeth,

I too, have a huge backlog of reviews to be written and published.

I do tend to take notes about the salient points of any book, or relevant quotes, as I am reading. However, I am convinced that one day I am going to come unstuck and I am going to completely forget the plot of a book, where I have put off the review for so long!

I made a vow just a few days ago, that I would write up a review as soon as I had finished reading the book, even if it meant delaying the start of the next book .... You guessed it, i have already blown that promise to myself, as other posts needed to be published, so I succumbed and did those instead!!

Have a great reading week anyway and hopefully a review or two as well?

    Yvonne.

  14. I write my review as I am reading.

Then I polish it up and it is done. That way I don't forget.

    THANKS for stopping, Yvonne.

  21. There's nothing wrong with an empty mailbox when there's plenty of books to be read...that's what I tell myself anyway. ;)
