Mailbox Monday - 6/2/14

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, has a permanent home now at Mailbox Monday.

 **********************
Every week Mailbox Monday will have a new linky posted for our Mailbox Monday links at Marcia's Mailbox Monday blog.

Here’s a shout out to the new administrators:

Leslie of Under My Apple Tree
Vicki of I’d Rather Be at the Beach
Serena @ Savvy Verse And Wit

THANKS to everyone for keeping Mailbox Monday alive.

 ****************

I hope you had a good mailbox.

I am featuring the haul from BEA for my mailbox.

Giveaway here for
THE THIRD RAIL
until June 5.

I attended the BEA Conference in New York City last week.

It was fantastic as always.  Even though you are exhausted at the end of the day, it is so worth it.

I got to see blogging friends I met last year, and I met up with Laura of Library of Clean Reads for the first time this year.

The books pictured below are from the Book Blogger Conference on Wednesday, publishers' booths that were either giveaways or author signings, and the Speed Dating Session on Friday.  The Speed Dating Session is ALWAYS so much fun.

So...here they are.  I don't know which one to read first.  :)

*****************
This is what the tables looked like when we walked into the Speed Dating Session.

Is that a book lover's feast or what?

And here is what I brought home.  THANK YOU to EVERY publisher.

  1. WOW! I'm glad you had an awesome BEA. I'm practically drooling over my keyboard :) One year maybe I'll get there...better start saving for the excess baggage now!

  2. Luckily my son lives in New York so I leave the books at his house, and he brings the books home when he visits. :)

    It also saves on lodging.

    Thanks for stopping, samstillreafing.

  3. I'd have a tough time deciding which to read first! Sounds like you had a great time at BEA!

  4. It will be difficult.

I had a very nice time. Exhausted, but very nice.

The best was seeing bloggers in person.

    THANKS for stopping, Mary.

  6. Nice pics! I have some pics of the speed dating event to post this week.. that was fun. My books will hopefully be here by the end of the week, I shipped everything. AWESOME to see you as always!

  7. Wow! Nice haul. I've avoided BEA because I know I'll come home with way more than I can read. Perhaps that will motivate me to polish off the older books in my TBR pile so I can go in a few years. Hope you enjoy your books.

  10. It was great to see you again this year, Elizabeth. I punked out on Saturday - just too tired. You really got a lot of books, I can't imagaine how you got them all home. Happy Reading!

  11. I only attended BEA once...in 2008 when it was in LA. And I was totally unprepared for how to deal with the haul.

Next time I'm taking rolling suitcases, like I do to book signings! LOL

You got a nice haul...and how great that you can leave them at your son's house...and that you can stay there during the event.

Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

  12. Hi Elizabeth,

What fun we had! So glad you joined up with me and showed me the ropes. My suitcases were so heavy I was puffing and huffing getting on and off the train, and I still have a box shipped that should arrive soon. How crazy!

And next year I will definitely do the Speed Dating.

  33. Hi Elizabeth,

Which one of us wouldn't have had the best time, surrounded by all those lovely books! I am SOoooo! jealous, but pleased that you had such a good time.

I would really love to meet up with some of the bloggers I have become virtual friends with over the years and the chance to catch up with your son is always good, isn't it?

Enjoy whichever book you decide to start with and have a good weekend,

    Yvonne
