Book Blogger Hop - 11/14 - 11/20

 Question of the Week:

As you grow in your blogging experience, have you become more particular in terms of what you will post on your blog or what books you will read for review on your blog?

My Answer:

Absolutely!!

I am more particular about the books I accept for review as well as what I post.

I normally do not post anything that doesn't deal with books or is out of my reading genre.

  3. I've gotten pickier about the books I choose as well. I kind of went overboard with NetGalley and am still catching up!

  4. Picky is good.

I like to keep my blog to what I like to read.

    Thanks for stopping, Katherine.

  5. Same here Elizabeth =) when I first began blogging I would post things that were a little out of my box, but now almost 2 years later I only focus on things I'm really interested in.

  6. Yep...we have to get "choosy" to make our blog the way we want it to be perceived.

    Thanks for stopping, Monique.

  7. Until very recently, my blog, Reading in Texas was pretty much a personal blog where I talked about the books I was reading and participated in online events such as memes and read-a-thons. As I approach retirement from my IT job, I'm trying to add more content that will be interesting to regular followers, in particular reviews of books that I have read.

So, I'm not sure one would call this being "more choosy", but certainly it's definitely a change to be more informative instead of just personal.

  9. It takes a lot of fortitude to say no to a book review request, but then again, you have to; especially when a book is not a perfect fit ;)

  10. I usually say no to a book that is out of my genre or if I am too booked and can't possibly fit another book in.

It is difficult if it is a book I definitely would like and not have time, but not difficult when it isn't one I would really like.

    Thanks for stopping, Claudia.

  11. I think picky is good. I like blogs that reflect the people who write them and if you don't write about what you like they don't reflect you. Emma @Once Upon a Littlefield

  12. Exactly, Emma.

I want my blog to reflect who I am, and that's why I am picky. :)

Thanks so much for stopping, Emma.
