Book Blogger Hop - 1/2 - 1/7

 Question of the Week:

What is your Blogger's New Year's Resolution?

My Answer:

Hmmm....I normally do not make New Year's Resolutions so let me think about this.

I guess if I had to make a Blogger's New Year's Resolution, it would be to not accept as many reviews as I usually do because it gets too stressful planning my reading time even though I  ALWAYS get the requested book reviews done on time.

It is too difficult to turn down good books, though, isn't it?

What would you do about a blogger's New Year's Resolution?

  1. I would like to read more classics. I was planning a month of classics, perhaps January, but I started a looooong historical fiction book which is teaching me a lot a don't want to put aside. However, maybe after March I'll plan a classics reading month.

    1. I love historical fiction even though I didn't like history in high school. LOL!!

Sounds like a great book...ENJOY, and Happy New Year!!

  2. Oh, and maybe commenting more on other people's blogs, finding more blogs I like, and reading more of the on going year's releases.

    1. That is always a good idea. You get to know folks better when you have more interaction.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

  3. I gave up on New Year's resolutions years ago. I've stopped accepting as many books but I still can't keep up! lol

    1. I never make personal resolutions. I never keep them.

I hope I can keep mine, but I doubt it. :)

I hear you about keeping up.

      Thanks for stopping, Kathy.

  4. Elizabeth, I know what you mean about the books--it is hard to say "no"! I think my resolution is to manage time better. That would help me in many areas.

  6. I would agree with your resolution... I do that too... sometimes because I know it is a new author and I want to help them out. I think my resolution would be on my blog the same as I have decided for my life this year, be selective in what I say yes to. I am by nature a "yes" person and that puts me in situations where I am occasionally overwhelmed with my to do list, or regretting saying yes to something that is not a good fit for me. :)

    1. Oh dear...I am TOTALLY you.

I am a YES person too, but started to add NO to my vocabulary. I can't do it all. :)

Being selective is the way to go to keep sane. :)

      Thanks for stopping by, Sheila.

  7. I love your plans for what you will review this year! I have not decided whether I will have a plan...I am just going to freestyle!

I really love Vanessa And Her Sister...it is totally fascinating!

  8. I have such a hard time with that, too! I sometimes end up feeling guilty for not accepting some of the books for review, but I'm trying to keep my schedule more open this year so I can read for blog tours and read just for fun vs. feeling like I'm constantly reading review books. Good luck with your resolution!

My post is in the linky at Coffee Addicted Writers. :)

  10. I've never made bookish resolutions in the past (or really any resolutions, for that matter!) and this year I decided to change things a bit. I think I might have gone a bit overboard on my resolutions as a result :)
