Mailbox Monday - 6/1/15 - BEA Mailbox

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, has a permanent home now at Mailbox Monday.
 *****************
Every week Mailbox Monday will have a new linky posted for our Mailbox Monday links at Marcia's Mailbox Monday blog.

Here’s a shout out to the new administrators:

Leslie of Under My Apple Tree
Vicki of I’d Rather Be at the Beach
Serena @ Savvy Verse And Wit

THANKS to everyone for keeping Mailbox Monday alive.

I hope you had a good mailbox.

Friday was the end of the 2105 BEA.  It will most likely be the last one for me because I won't be going to Chicago.

I had a wonderful time meeting publishers, other bloggers, and authors.

THANK YOU to all the wonderful publishers and the publishing staff who made these books available to us.

THANK YOU to all the talented authors who write these amazing books.
***************
The Speed Dating session is one part of the BEA I thoroughly enjoy.  It is always very organized, and this year was even better.

THANK YOU to Carol and her staff and all the fantastic publicists who presented books to us in the quick nine minutes.  Each one of you did an amazing job.

***************

You can see the books I received definitely made up for all my weeks of empty mailboxes.  :)

The books are currently being housed at my son's apartment until he visits in July.

I took a few home, but will be anxiously awaiting the entire stack.

Now to find empty book shelves to put them on.  :)

 How about your mailbox?

Any titles in your mailbox that you were excited about seeing?

  4. I love looking at everyone's BEA book hauls because we all get completely different books. I hate that I missed the new Jan Karon book. I don't plan to go to Chicago either.

  5. I didn't know BEA is in Chicago next year. It's a 90 minute train ride away for me so I might actually go!! Looks like you came home with some good books.

  7. Oh wow that is one pretty picture! I am looking forward to SO MANY of those books, especially The Marriage of Opposites, Hanging Mary, Twain's End, The Truth According to Us and the Susanna Kearsley book (I love all her books!). I so want to go to BEA but it is just so far away from me in FL and it becomes too expensive for plan, hotel, entry, etc. I might have to save and go to Chicago. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your reviews!

    1. The BEA is so much fun. I hope you do get to go.

I am lucky about the cost because I save money on housing since I stay with my son.

Those books you mention above are ones I am looking forward to too. :) Susanna Kearsley's books are AWESOME.

I have a signed copy of THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO US. HOUSE OF THIEVES is my all-time favorite that I wanted. I loved his other book, THE PARIS ARCHITECT. It is reviewed on my blog.

Thanks so much for stopping and for commenting, Colleen.

  18. I had my books shipped since I'm in NC, and I'm dying waiting for all my lovelies to get here (supposed to be today)! I'm sorry that we didn't get to meet. I was at the speed dating event, but it was hard to meet those who were not at your table. Looking forward to all your reviews.

    1. LOL...it is.

I have to decide how and where I am going to store them.

Most of my bookshelves are filled and I have them organized according to BEA years, but I may have to do some creative book moving. :)

I at least have another month until my son brings them home. :)

      Thanks for stopping, Serena.

  20. Nice big pile of books! I've been counting down to 2016 since they announced it last year. I suppose it will draw a lot of the midwest bloggers but I'd sure like to meet you guys from the east coast!
