Book Blogger Hop - 7/24 - 7/30

 Question of the Week:

Do you use bookmarks? If so, do you match them to the book you're reading or do you use random scraps of paper?

My Answer:

Oh...I definitely use bookmarks.  I would NEVER turn down pages.

But....my bookmarks are random scraps of paper, bills, index cards, or the publicist's book release paper that comes with an ARC.

I have quite a few beautiful bookmarks, but I usually don't use them. They are displayed on my bookshelves.

  4. I don't have any really fancy bookmarks but I do love the ones I have and I ALWAYS use a bookmark. The idea of turning down a page makes me a little queasy!

  5. Always use bookmarks, particularly a pretty one I have courtesy of a religious mission somewhere; that's the one that goes from book to book and I have several of the same kind lying around. However, I getting more and more attached to my Kindle because I can highlight passages, which I absolutely hate to do on a bound copy because it ruins them.

    1. Great on your favorite bookmark.

I didn't know you could highlight passages on the Kindle. I don't read e-books that much, though.

      Thanks for the information.

      Thanks for stopping, Carmen.

  6. I use a bookmark when I read a print book. Sometimes I use post-its but I never dog ear a page. That said, most of the galleys I read are from netgalley and read on my kindle (which I love).

  8. I love bookmarks, any kind. I most often use one with sticky tabs on it so that I can add one of those to pages I especially liked.
