Book Blogger Hop - 7/3 - 7/9

 Question of the Week:

Do you lend your books out to friends and family?

My Answer:

Of course I do.

Why keep all these good books to myself?  :)

When you lend them out, you have someone to discuss the book with and to share the joy of reading with.

I do have a "lending library" system, though, to keep track of who has what book.  :)

    1. Same here. I give them to the library sale or the hospital's library.

      Thanks for stopping, Kathy.

  3. For the most part if it's a book that's important to me or that I plan on keeping I don't because I'm afraid I won't get it back. However, if I do give people lots of books!

    1. That is true. If I lend a hardback with a cover, I take the cover off. :)

      I share a lot too.

      Thanks for stopping, Katherine.

  4. I don't really keep too many books. I'm not one who likes to reread much. So, I give or loan most of them.

    1. I don't re-read either, but I like to keep my favorite books and to share them.

      Thanks for stopping, Diane.

  5. I share under a lot of promises that the books will be returned. I've loaned books that weren't returned and were among my all-time favorite and that hurts a lot.

    1. I would be very upset.

I hope you didn't lend any books to those folks again.

      Thanks for stopping, Carmen.

    1. Oh dear...that had to be awful.

I am glad I never had one ruined.

  7. I lend, give away, donate books that I have read but I don't really want to keep. I do have a pile of books that are very special to me and they don't leave the premises.

  8. Yes, I do. I also give books to my local community library. I also use bookcrossing.com. Does anyone else use bookcrossing?

    1. I share books that everyone has read already with the hospital's library and give some to our library for their library sale.

No on bookcrossing. I will have to take a look at the site.

      Thanks for stopping, Denise.
