Follow Friday Four Fill-In Fun - 7/17/15

    Feeling Beachie

Love this meme....I hope you can join in the fun.

Each week, Feeling Beachie lists four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs.

    The statements:
    1. Leaving someone out is ________.
    2. Blogging is _________.
    3. Asking about____is_____.
    4. Would you post a ______?

    My Answers:

    1.  Leaving someone out is something I do not like to do.

    2.  Blogging is one of my favorite things to do.

    3.  Asking about personal things is difficult for me.

    4.  Would you post a negative review on your blog?

    1. Good answers. On number 4, I used to hesitate with the lower reviews. But, another blogger mentioned that we're responsible to our readers; not the author. That's not to say it is OK to tear down an author's work, but I usually try to give things I liked as well as disliked.

      1. I have given 3 out of 5 stars. If I have to give lower, I just don't read the book. :)

Too many good books out there to continue with something you don't like. :)

Thanks for always stopping and commenting, Diane.

      2. I haven't posted a review in quite awhile, but when I did post reviews only once did I really not find anything to like about the book and I said so...it was just awful.

      1. Negative reviews serve no purpose. I think folks can tell themselves just by reading a few pages. :)

I mostly give a 4 or 5 out of 5. If a book gets at 3 from me, then it was bad, but not bad enough to put down. :)

        Thanks for stopping, Hilary.

    3. I have no problem people asking me personal questions, IF our relationship is such that I know it's a genuine discussion and not just being a nosey busy-body. But I am less likely to ask others something personal.
If did not like a product or service, I would absolutely give my honest opinion on my blog. However, I would be discussing that with the company first too so that they had a chance to give feedback.

    4. I haven't come across this blog hop before, it looks like fun, so I might join in one of these days :)

I agree with the first three of your statements, although I do try not to post a negative review about a book, as it is purely and simply my own opinion and will be completely different to anyone else's.

In a reviewI generally tend to focus on the writing style and storyline development, rather than my opinion about the finished book and I will generally award 4 star ratings as an average.
