Books Completed The Last Two Weeks:

1. THE FORGOTTEN ROOM by Karen White, Beatriz Williams, and Lauren Willig

Oh my goodness...this book is absolutely marvelous.  LOVED IT.

How could it be anything but fantastic with these three amazing authors?

My review will be in January, but I hope you get to read it before then or definitely some time soon.

Historical fiction and women's fiction fans will devour it.

2.  THE VIOLINIST OF VENICE by Alyssa Palombo.

The book is beautiful just like the cover, and I loved learning about Antonio Vivaldi.

 ***************
3.  THE READERS OF THE BROKEN WHEEL RECOMMEND by Katarina Bivald

A very sweet read about a small town that NEEDS a book store.  :)

Loved it.

Review will be on my blog on January 7, 2016.

Comment from the publisher:

"This book is a #1 Indie Next Great Read for January 2016."

 ***************
4.  THE THINGS WE KEEP by Sally Hepworth

This book is different from her first book, The Secrets of Midwives, but has wonderful characters and was well researched by the author.

Review will be on my blog on January 19, 2016.

I normally read in order of publication or tour date.

And....these are not for reading in the upcoming week.  :)  They are books into and including all of 2015 and 2016.

The "list" is a means of keeping me organized.

A visual display helps a lot for organization along with my Excel list.

  8. I'm reading the Hepworth book now, only about 10% in but liking it so far. I cannot wait until the end of the month to attend an author event for The Forgotten Room. I love all three of the authors! I didn't request an advance copy via NetGalley because I knew I was going to want a hardcover once it came out :)

I also read The Storied Life of A J Fikry, which probably everyone else has already read. This week I plan to read House of Day, House of Night by Polish author Olga Tokarczuk, The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters, and The Happy Marriage by Moroccan author Tahar Ben Jelloun.
