Mailbox Monday - 6/6/16

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week.

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, has a permanent home now at Mailbox Monday.

Every week Mailbox Monday will have a new linky posted for our Mailbox Monday links at Marcia's Mailbox Monday blog.
Here’s a shout out to the new administrators:

Leslie of Under My Apple Tree
Vicki of I’d Rather Be at the Beach
Serena @ Savvy Verse And Wit

THANKS to everyone for keeping Mailbox Monday alive.

On Tuesday, May 31, I received:

1.  An Audiobook:  GRIT, THE POWER OF PASSION AND PERSEVERANCE by Angela Duckworth, courtesy of Sarah Nelson and Lauren Pires of Simon and Schuster and an ARMCHAIR BEA win.

I have been dipping into audio, but not a lot.  :)

On Friday, June 3, I received:

1.  BEHIND CLOSED DOORS  by B. A. Paris, courtesy of Jessica Preeg of St. Martin's Press.

Look at the cool two-sided sleeve that came wrapped around the book.

  14. GRIT sounds good! I would probably prefer it in print though as I like to use nonfiction books as references. Hope you enjoy it as an audio.

  15. Yaaay for audio! It's an acquired taste.

I picked up Behind Closed Doors at BEA. It was one of the hot books they were promoting. It does sound good though.

    1. I am liking the audios. I just listened to THREE MARTINI LUNCH by Suzanne Rindell. It was good. Not going to review it, though.

Behind Closed Doors is getting a lot of buzz. I missed the BEA. If it was the buzz there, I am sure it is good. :) Thanks for the information.

      Thanks for stopping, Leslie.

    2. It was one of the Speed Dating books, and there was a big galley drop the day before.

I thought Three Martini Lunch had excellent narrators, and that's so important in an audiobook.

    3. Great tto hear it was a Speed Dating book. I love the Speed Dating Event.

Three Martini Lunch did have good narrators.

      Thanks for stopping back, Leslie.
