Book Blogger Hop - 9/23 -9/29

 Question of the Week:

How many years have you been blogging?

Anything special you want to tell everyone about your experiences?

My Answer:

I have been blogging for 6 years...my anniversary date is July 27, 2010.

The most special thing I want to say is that blogging has allowed me to meet many wonderful bloggers, authors, and publishers and to share the love of reading.

What I would tell any new blogger is that you must be RELIABLE and FRIENDLY.

I would also say to not worry about how many followers you have.  Numbers are nothing compared to the joy that your blog and reading itself most likely brings to you and your readers.

If you are happy with your blog, your reading experience, and your connections hopefully that will be enough.  It is for me.

Happy Reading, Happy Blogging, and Happy Making New Reading Memories and Friends.

  2. I definitely agree and love your attitude! I haven't been around as long but I definitely agree that book bloggers are some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever "met". And of course the fact that I've found a group of serious readers is also fantastic!

  6. Hi Elizabeth! No wonder it's so much fun talking to you. You are an expert here! Love your answer, especially the part on being friendly and reliable. So true. You need to be honest and consistent. I can definitely work on the consistency thing and I know it. I did actually stop by your blog yesterday, but never commented. Luckily I remembered to come back! Hope you will have a good weekend and here's my Friday Meets: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/09/friday-meets-23-september-2016.html

  7. What a LOVELY post, Elizabeth!! You are SO right about basically just enjoying blogging, and the connections that can be made with nice, supportive bloggers! (Like you!!)

You're SO right that numbers are not important! And I LOVE this quote: "Numbers are nothing compared to the joy that your blog and reading itself most likely brings to you and your readers." Exactly!! Blogging should not engender stress in any way, shape, or form. And it IS all about the enjoyment of blogging & reading, plus making new friends/memories!

I'm SO happy to have met you!

Happy Hopping, Reading, and Friending!! And thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a WONDERFUL comment!! <3 :)

  8. We put so much pressure on ourselves when we put a lot of stock in our stats. I agree with you about not putting a lot of weight on how many followers you have. It really is about sharing our love of reading and the connections we make.
