Book Blogger Hop - 11/18 - 11/24

 Question of the Week:

Would you take a book with you when you go to your family's Thanksgiving gathering/dinner?

My Answer:

Well....since I always have a book with me, the book would be with me on Thanksgiving.  :)

It is usually an out-of-town Thanksgiving so that helps if anyone asks why I have a book.  :)

  1. I always have a book with me too, and I ache to pull it out at family gatherings. I realize that it would be antisocial of me, so I resist, but I my extended family seems to gather around a television for football, which I am not at all interested in.

    1. I would pull out the book during a football game and go in another room. :)

  3. When we used to travel to family out of town I'd always have a book with me but now that we stay local I don't.

    1. I always have a book with me, but do refrain from reading it when there is chatting going on even though I would like to. LOL!!

  4. Probably no reading for me on Thankgiving because we host but I've always got my phone and can read from my kindle app if I have a few minutes.

    1. I love hosting Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday.

I will be out of town this year.

I will have to ask you about the Kindle app. I can only read books in Overdrive on my phone.

      Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  5. I think all of us bookworms share the same characteristic -- we NEED to carry a book with us everywhere we go, whether or not we'll actually be able to read it. Lol. So of course Thanksgiving get-togethers would not be an exception!

I'm sure all of us do interact with our families on that very important day. Nevertheless, the book is there, like a nice little security blanket. Ahhhh....bliss!!

Happy Hopping! Hope you're having a WONDERFUL Saturday! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a lovely comment on my BBH post!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! <3 :)

  6. I admit it. I do sometimes read when visiting family for the holidays. I can't help myself. I don't like football and sometimes need a bit of quiet to recover from (or avoid) awkward conversations.

    1. My family knows about me and books. LOL.

If I take out a book, they know to leave me alone. :)

    1. I actually didn't take out any books. :)

In fact, I haven't read since I have gotten here. Not good, but too busy.
