Book Blogger Hop - 11/4 - 11/10

 Question of the Week:

When you settle in for the night with a good book, do you read until you can't stay awake or simply have a nightly page goal?

My Answer:

I "try" to have a page goal but not being able to stay awake usually wins.

  3. Well, same here! Lol. That happened to me a LOT when I used to have two jobs. I'd go into work some mornings half asleep...haha!

My morning job was in an office, and I started at 8:30 AM. But sometimes I would go to bed at 1:00 AM, and had to get up at 7:00. Obviously, I didn't get that much sleep if I stayed up that late! But some books SURE deserved it!

Now I'm happy as a lark, with a part-time job that pretty much allows me to go to bed as late as I want!! YAAAAAAY!!!!

We bookworms should really be able to read as much as we want, especially at night! Heck, there really should be a law! Lol!

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!! Thanks for visiting my own BBH post and leaving such nice, lovely comments!! <3 :)

    1. Great to hear your part-time job is working out better.

I wouldn't be able to function if I had that little sleep. :)

      LOL on the bookworks...true.

      Thanks for stopping, Maria.

  5. Me too. Mostly, I've given up on trying to stay up late and read since I'm a middle school teacher. Happy reading.

    1. When I was teaching, there was no way I could stay up late. :)

      I still can't even after I retired. :)

  6. I so rarely pay attention to page counts when I read. It's funny because even though I sometimes will tell myself "Just one more chapter", I don't even notice when I have finished a chapter and have moved onto the next. As it is, I rarely stay up reading late anymore. Only if it's not a work night and I know I can sleep in a little in the morning.

I hope you have a great week!

    1. True on not knowing about the chapters when you are really absorbed.

  7. I usually read until the next chapter but if that's too long away then I might give up earlier. Then again if it's that good and it's not too late I might just keep reading and squeeze in another chapter before lights out!

    1. It is difficult to stop reading.

I actually am having a difficult time stopping where I am tonight, but sleepiness always gets me as it is now.

      Thanks for stopping, Michelle.
