Book Blogger Hop - 1/27 - 2/2

Question of the Week:

How many books have you started, but just couldn't finish? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

My Answer:

Last January I did not finish at least 6 books within two weeks.

Not sure what was going on.

Throughout the year, I think I only did not finish two books.

So my total is 8 books for 2016.

  1. I usually stick with a book even if I'm not enjoying it and I don't know why.

  2. I do the same thing Elizabeth, but every year the minimum of unfinished books that I read is two to three books each year. Which I am very happy with that record of mine. lol Have a great weekend Elizabeth and here is my blog hop answer for this week.

  3. I don't really keep count but I think I'm probably about the same. There are only a few books that I've flat out DNF'd in the last little while.

    1. I try not to, but reading is my pleasure, and reading something I don't like is difficult.

      Thanks for stopping, Katherine.

  4. I always try to stick with a book even if something's not clicking. I like to give them a chance to improve.

  5. That does seem like a lot of books you did not finish in a short time. Do you think you'll try any of them again later?

Sometimes I skip the middle if the plot is starting to sag. I have set aside a few where I just couldn't relate to the main characters or they seemed to be extra unreliable narrators.

    1. Most likely I will not give them another try.

I give books a good go before I stop, but some just don't interest me.

      Thanks for stopping, Roberta.

  6. I don't usually keep count, but sometimes I have a hard time settling into something that works for me.

  8. Unless I've made a decision not to continue reading a book I think of them as unfinished or for reading later rather than DFNs. I have a lot more unfinished than DFN

    1. Good idea how to label your unfinished books. I like it.
