2. _____ class reunion.

3. Truth be told I am superstitious about             .

4. Lately, I have been              .

My Answers:

1. My guiding word for 2017 is going to be NO.

I always say YES too many times and then get overwhelmed.  I doubt it will work, though.  I am too tuned into helping and saying YES.  :)

I tried the same word last year, and didn't do well.

2.  I enjoyed seeing my classmates at the last class reunion.

3.  Truth be told I am superstitious about turning the calendar before the month is over.

4.  Lately, I have been watching the FOOD Network more and reading less.

  1. "Just say NO" is hard to put into practice. Elizabeth, I enjoyed reading your friendly Friday fill-ins. Have a great, long weekend.

    1. I agree...I am just a helpful person.

      Thanks for stopping, Suko.

      Glad you enjoyed my fill-ins.

  2. It is difficult for many to say, "No." Too many just take advantage of that. Stay strong!

My Grampy was that way about calendars, especially the start of a new year. He was Welsh, and had a few superstitions.

  3. Some of the food shows are fun to watch, but they always make me hungry. :)

Good luck in your quest for "No". Being overwhelmed is no fun. I've been there myself recently.

What is supposed to happen if you turn the calendar page before the month is over? I've heard of that superstition before, but never knew what was supposed to happen if you did it. The "don't step on a crack" one was pretty clear about what would happen if you did it. This sounds like an interesting one. There were a few months last year that I would have been more than happy to flip the page early on. :)

    Have a great weekend!

    1. I really don't know what would happen if I turned the calendar before the month is over. LOL!!

I hear you about flipping the page. I could have flipped the entire past 2 1/2 years and not missed them.

Me too on the Food Shows making you hungry. I have gotten a few dinner ideas, though.

      Thanks for stopping, Suzanne.

    2. I'm sorry that you've had a rough 2 1/2 years. There have been some good moments, but also some very upsetting ones, during that time frame for me. 2016 was just downright scary.

What is the best dinner idea that you've gotten from a cooking show?

      Have a blessed weekend. :)

    3. It was some delicious stuffed peppers with veggies inside instead of meat and a great recipe for fried dough.

The dough was different from what I make. They put mashed potatoes in the dough.

I thought I saved the recipes, but can't find them. They might be on my other computer.

      Thanks for stopping back, Suzanne.

  4. "No" is a good word. If you cannot do something without stressing yourself, it is good to say no.

  7. I never turn the calendar until it's the first day of the month either. But like, that just makes sense right? I might lift the edge carefully to write some appt. on a date, but I don't actually turn the page. I should have said no to some things this year, but I also am not sure that it was the right timing to say no either.

    1. I do peek at the next month too, Rory. Yes...not turning until the first day of the month makes sense.

No is good, but like you said not appropriate sometimes.

      Thanks for stopping, Rory.
