Book Beginnings - 9/15/2017

*Please join Rose City Reader every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name.  *Taken directly from Rose City Reader's Blog Page.

My book beginnings is taken from THE BLACKBIRD SEASON by Kate Moretti:
"The rain came in sheets, like a wall, forming wide rivulets down the windshield.  The wipers swished and couldn't keep  up.  They were old, needed to be replaced, and left streaks across the glass.  But this was Alecia's car, and she hadn't told him."

Books Finished:
THE WELCOME HOME DINER by Peggy Lampman - review will be on October 10.

**********
ODD CHILD OUT by Gilly MacMillan - review will be October 5.
**********
THE TRUST by Ronald H. Balson - review will be September 19.

Excellent mystery.
