My book beginnings is taken from THE BROKEN GIRLS by Simone St. James:

"The shrill of the cell phone jerked Fiona awake in the driver's seat. She lurched forward, bracing her palms on the wheel, staring into the blackness of the windshield. She blinked, focused.  Had she fallen asleep?

I am very excited that I got The Family Next Door yesterday...I hadn't requested it, since I thought it might be too late. I love her books.

    1. I LOVED The Recipe Box, Katherine.

The Broken Girls was a bit confusing at first, but it is getting better now.

    1. I check Amazon for the publication date or the publisher requests a certain time frame.

I publish my reviews a few days before publication, on the publication date, or a few days after. My preferred date is the publication date, but sometimes my calendar is full.

Thank you for asking and for commenting, Anne.
