Book Blogger Hop - 2/9 - 2/15

 Question of the Week:

What authors have you met and where? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

My Answer:

I have met quite a few authors.  Most of them have been at the Book Expo in New York City, but I have been to author events at a local, independent mystery bookstore.
  **********
Authors I have met at signings at the Book Expo over the years, and who I can remember have been:

John Grisham
Pam Jenoff
Geraldine Brooks
Vanessa Diffinbaugh
Bette Lee Crosby
Mary Higgins Clark
Charles Belfoure
Dorothea Benton Frank
Lisa Scottoline
James Patterson

I am sure there are many more, but I am remembering off the top of my head.

Authors I have met at author events last year at our local, independent mystery book store have been:

Chevy Stevens
William Kent Krueger

    1. Pam Jenoff is the sweetest, nicest person.

William Kent Krueger has an amazing personality and a lot of charisma. That was fun because it was a small gathering.

  4. Yes, I'd love to meet Pam Jenoff. I just reviewed The Ambassador's Daughter and I LOVE her writing--her style, her time period, etc.

Being an aspiring writer myself, I've met lots of writers at writer conventions.

  5. BEA seems to be the most popular place to meet authors lol. I've never been there but I see a lot of my fave booktubers go and meet their fave authors there during the summer. I haven't met any authors in person, but I do communicate a lot with Tonya Kuper, Ryan Ringbloom, Sheena Hutchinson, Ingrid Seymour and Inger Iversen on social media.
