My Book Beginnings is taken from THE ENDLESS BEACH by Jenny Colgan:

"Even in early spring, Mure is pretty dark.  Flora didn't care; she loved waking up in the morning, curled up close, together in the pitch black.  Joel was a very light sleeper and was generally awake by the time she rubbed her eyes."
