Book Blogger Hop - 7/6/2018

Question of the Week:

If you were stranded on a deserted island, which ONE book could you not live without? (submitted by Megan @ Ginger Mom & the Kindle Quest

My Answer:

I would have to have THE FORGOTTEN GARDEN by Kate Morton with me.

I never re-read books, but if I had to re-read a book, that would be the one I would re-read.

I LOVED this book, and since I read it long ago, I'm sure I would take the time to savor it again and again and again until I was rescued.

  1. I haven't read my pick in years either but it was one I re-read a few times growing up! I loved it so I could easily re-read it a few times before the rescue boat arrives! Lol!

Hopefully we wouldn't have to re-read too many times before the boat arrives. :)

  2. That's a tough question. Maybe a collection of short stories?

  3. Great choice! This was my first Kate Morton and I really enjoyed it. I think I would love rereading it because I think I would find new details every time I read it.

  7. I will have to look this book up! I haven't heard of it before. Interesting that you're not a re-reader! I re-read a bunch. But since you're not one, I think your choice holds a lot more weight! It must be an amazing book if you'd pick it to be the book you re-read. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Oh, I LOVE that title! "The Forgotten Garden" sounds VERY intriguing, and piqued my curiosity, so I went over to Goodreads to check it out. Well, I've now added it to my shelves there! I've also given your review of it a "like". It's GREAT that you mentioned the writing is masterful, Elizabeth! LOVE that!! :) :)

You've certainly convinced me to take this book with me to a deserted island, if I should ever happen to land on one! Lol. It sure sounds like the perfect read while I'm waiting to be rescued! :) :)

Thanks so much for putting this book on my radar, as well as for visiting my own BBH post and leaving such a lovely (as ALWAYS!) comment on it!!

    HUGS!! Hope you're having a FANTASTIC weekend!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
