Not all of his books are scary! I loved 11/22/63 and his Bill Hodges books.
Ok...thanks for the information, and thanks for commenting, Kathy.
I can second the recommendation of 11/22/63. It's not a horror based book. - Katie
Even though I don't care for his writing style I still read the occasional one. I don't think I have an author that I won't read *
I did try him, but I guess I read the wrong book. :)Great you will try all authors. Thanks for commenting, Jackie.
I only ever read one of his novellas (and possibly a short story or two for a class). The movies made from his books were pretty creepy and I don't think I could read them because I'd likely scare myself silly! Lol!Here's my Book Blogger HopHave a GREAT day!Old Follower :)
That is how I feel. :)Thanks for commenting, Jessica.
Some of his older stuff is, for sure. Then he moved a bit into fantasy with the Gunslinger novels.
Thanks for the information, but I don’t read fantasy either. 😍😍Thanks for commenting, Nicki
I can't stand Stephen King!! True, I've never read any of his fantasy novels, which Nicki has mentioned above. However, I'm willing to bet there's some element of horror in those novels, too. So I say, "Better safe than sorry!" I just stay away from his books. Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a GREAT weekend!! HUGS!!! <3 <3 :_) :)
Yes....better safe than sorry. Thanks for commenting, Maria.
I can respect your reasoning for not reading King, but I haz the sad to see all the people commenting who also don't/can't read his books. He's one of my favorite authors. Have a great weekend. - Katie
I guess it would be the genre more than the author, right? Thanks for commenting, Katie.
I don't read anything horror or gory, so Stephen King is out for me too. Plus, I'm still mad at that he'd told Stephenie Meyer (one of my faves) that she "couldn't write worth a damn", so screw him! lol
Thanks for commenting, dani.He is quite scary even though folks say he does write some non-horror.
