    1. It is fun to compare notes and to have someone to chat with about books we have in common.

Looking forward to seeing what we both think about them.

  4. I have most of these, too! I am very excited to read them in my scattered unorganized way. I am reading The Hunting Party now and it’s good but I just want it to end. I started and Stopped Beautiful Bad...it’s not what I expected.

    1. The Hunting Party does drag on a bit. :)

Beautiful Bad in my opinion isn't a thriller as it has been labeled.

I rated it a 3.5/5 - it dragged on too. The ending was good.

      Thanks for commenting, Patty.

  7. I just finished The Leavers by Lisa Ko last night. I need something light so today I will read Ribsy by Beverly Cleary. It is next up on my 1964 list and a nice happy story about a dog-:)

    1. Thanks for sharing what you are reading, Judy.

I have only read a Beverly Cleary book a long time ago....I do remember it being lovely and light.

  8. Your reading is always so extensive and organized! I have The Hunting Party from the library but haven't started it yet. I like a lot of the authors you are reading and reviewing! Looking at all the book covers reminds me how much I dislike the photographic covers; the non-photographic ones appeal to me much more. But I remember reading that publishers found most readers to be more drawn to photographic covers, so I guess that's why they're so popular with publishers!

    1. I have to agree about my organization. :)

      Organized business teacher habit. :)

Great to hear you like the authors I read. I didn’t know that about the covers...interesting information.

The Hunting Party is slow but good. ENJOY when you read it.

Thank you for commenting, Laurie C.

  11. Hi Elizabeth,

Wow! what an extensive collection of books you have amassed, almost too many for me to check out, although I would probably end up by liking most of them!

First glance highlights for me - 'Woman 99', 'What Lies Below' and 'The Missing Years'.

All are authors I haven't read before and I hope that you enjoy them all.

Check back to Fiction Books re your additional comments about your son visiting London :)
