Mailbox Monday - 9/17/2012

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do).

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles, and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, is on a blog tour!

The host for September is:
Kristen @

I had a nice, light book week.

On Saturday,  September 15, I received:

1.  AND WHEN SHE WAS GOOD by Laura Lippman, courtesy of Susan from The Book Bag.

I won this book in a giveaway.

THANKS, Susan...looking forward to the book.   I enjoy Laura Lippman's books.

  1. I love light book weeks...time to catch up.

    Have a great week.

  2. I don't imagine you are talking about the 25 books I purchased at a huge book sale at the local college :-). What was I thinking!

  3. LOL, Teresa.

    Enjoy your 25 books. :)

  4. Enjoy your win...and the light book week.

  5. I'll look forward to your thoughts on the Lippmann. I've seen a lot of buzz about that book and I'm definitely curious!

  6. I do enjoy might be a while until my review, though.

Thanks, was exciting to win something in one of the giveaways....difficult to do.

  7. Speaking as a Lippmann fan, you are a lucky one.

  8. Don't you just love winning bookish contests? :-) Happy reading this week.

  9. It is fun, Kristen.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  10. I've read one Lippman book and liked it a bit. I hope you enjoy this one!

  11. Congrats on your win and when she was good is on my wishlist!

  12. I usually love and read all of her books but for some odd reason I don't want to read this one.

  13. That seems interesting, Patty.

    Wonder why, huh?

  14. One book and it's a good one. I've got a few Lippman books waiting patiently for me. Have a great week :)

  15. Enjoy your win! I haven't read any Lippman, but I do own Life Sentences, which I've heard great things about but I just haven't gotten to it yet.

  16. Hi Elizabeth,

I could have 'Light book weeks' from now until forever and I still wouldn't have caught up .... 1,000 + printed books on my shelves and nearly 200 archived on my Kindle .... None of which I have read!!!!

I have never really looked at any Laura Lippman books before, however I went onto 'Fantastic Fiction' to check her out after your enthusiasm over this book .. Guess what? More for my reading list, after I decided that I have been missing out on something here!

Congratulations on your win, it always feels good, doesn't it? and thanks for the recommendation.

  17. LOL, Yvonne.

    I agree...light weeks are great.

Glad you found Lippmann agreeable. She does write good books.

1,000 books plus Kindle to read....oh my. At least you won't be at a loss for a book. :)

  18. I've never read anything by that author, but I've heard good things about her work. Enjoy!

  19. I recently read my first Lippman book ... not sure what took me so long to find her! I have this one in audio and will be listening to it soon.

  20. Giveaways are such fun. Hope you enjoy the book!
