It's Monday, What Are You Reading - 7/8/13

When you read this, I will be on my way to New York for a visit with my son.  I may be able to stop by, but most likely not until I return on Thursday.

I am definitely going to try to "link up" from my iPad, but  I am not always successful doing that.  :)

This is a weekly meme run by Book Journey!

Post the books completed last week, the books you are currently reading, and the books you hope to finish this week.

Books Completed Last Week:

I can't believe I read THREE books last week, but I did have a lot of waiting in doctor offices.  :)

1. THE LAVENDER GARDEN by Lucinda Riley.

I LOVED this book.
2.  LETTERS FROM SKYE by Jessica Brockmole.

A cleverly written read.

3.  ALWAYS WATCHING by Chevy Stevens.

The book OOZED with fear and tension right through the pages.

Books Up Next:

Basically the same as it has been, but I added a few more.

So difficult to choose which one to read.  Love them all and the covers.

I usually read according to the publication date.

  1. I hope you are having a fabulous time in NY!

  2. Have a good week. I try to read by publication date too. It helps keep me organized. My Monday Report is here. Happy reading!

  3. The three books you read are on my list! all three sound very good.

  4. So I have a lot of Stephanie Evanovich's books but I haven't read a single one... Is she really as good as they say? :)

  5. Oh my word, you have a bunch of books listed that I want to read :) I hope you enjoy all of them and have a great week!

  6. I am pretty happy with these books. :)

Re Stephanie....this is the first book of hers I read. It is too "romancy" for me but it isn't bad.

Taking the train to NY. I love it.

  7. I'm going to be reading Big Girl Panties soon! I hope you have a blast with your son.

  8. I finished Map of the Invisible World by Tash Aw.
I'm in the middle of The Agony and the Ecstasy by Irving Stone and Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie.
Coming up: Five Star Billionaire by Tash Aw and The Winter of Our Discontent by John Steinbeck. Three new reviews on my blog last week.

  9. That's a great assortment of books to have to choose from! I have copies of all three of your last week's reads... just need time to get to them. Glad you enjoyed them.

  10. I have no problem having lots of books started at once but I've been forcing myself to get through them before I start another one- or at least another long book. Once I complete them all, I vow never to do that again. And it happens again. All the time!

  11. Lots of great books, everyone. I really liked "The Agony and the Ecstasy", Judy.

    Okay, here is my list.
    Finished last week:
Grossman, David „To the End of the Land“ (אשה בורחת מבשורה/Isha Nimletet Mi'Bshora)
    Bánk, Zsuzsa "Die hellen Tage"
Oates, Joyce Carol "A Widow's Story. A Memoir"

    Currently reading:
    Bryson, Bill "Icons of England"
Cabré, Jaume "Das Schweigen des Sammlers" (Catal. Jo Confesso) [I confess]
    Kerouac, Jack “On the Road”
    Rutherfurd, Edward "Paris"
Sendker, Jan-Philipp "Das Flüstern der Schatten" [The Whispering of the Shadows]

I hope to finish "Icons of England" adn "On the Road" this week, the others are rather long.
