It's Monday!! What Are You Reading? 9/23/13

Hope you have a good week.

This is a weekly meme run by Book Journey!

Post the books completed last week, the books you are currently reading, and the books you hope to finish this week.

Books Completed Last Week:

The Wedding Gift by Marlen Suyapa Bodden.

Poignant, heartbreaking, and unfortunately true.  Don't miss out on this...EVERY woman should read it.

Book Currently Reading:

Books Up Next:

I added a few more, but they are not necessarily in the order I have planned to read them.  I normally read in order of publication or tour date.

And....these are not for reading in the upcoming week.  They are books into and including December.

The "list" is a means of keeping me organized.  A visual display helps a lot for organization along with my Excel lists.  :)

Oh dear on the arrangement of these books.  I can't seem to get them all in a row.

  1. The books you've read sound like they have quite serious themes. I read your review of Burial Rites which sounded really good although I think I would need to be in a good mind space to read it.

  2. I need to go read your review of Burial Rites. I'm afraid it is going to be too scary for me.

    Here's my It's Monday!

  3. Ooh nice! Hope you enjoy your reads!

    Here's my Monday Wrapup

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  4. I read positive reviews about A Hundred Summers. I hope you enjoy all of your books and have a great week.

  5. wasn't was presented well.

Not scary, Deb Nance. It talks about her last days with a family as she awaits her execution. The scary part is the harsh climate.

    THANKS, Jessica.

THANKS, Pat. I have so many good books. I have a hard time choosing but usually choose by publication date. :)

  6. I really liked your review of Burial Rites and will hope to get a chance to read it soon! Happy Reading!

Here's my What are you reading? Post!

    Wendy @ Escape Into Fiction

  7. THANKS, Wendy.

    You should enjoy Burial Rites.

  8. Great list of books! I'm planning to read Bellman & Black soon. I've heard the Andrea Kane book is great.

  9. Love your list of books! You are like me, and so many others, in that you have some great titles but keep collecting more anyway :) So true.
I just read your reviews of Burial Rites and The Wedding Gift. One was on my wishlist, and one is added now.
I'm wondering if you read The Kitchen House. That is a great book I read last year that would appeal to anyone who enjoyed The Wedding Gift, if I understand the synopsis correctly. Thanks for showcasing all your really cool books.

  10. Sounds like I will be adding both books to my TBR list. Have a great week.

  11. Let's see...last week I read Life After Life by Kate Atkinson, a wonderful book, and Treason's Harbour, a Jack Aubrey/Stephen Maturin book by Patrick O'Brian. I'm currently reading The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith, aka J.K. Rowling, and enjoying it immensely. And next? Who knows? It could be any one of many of the books on my TBR list.

  12. North of Supposed to Be and The Outcasts sound really good! I will have to go over and read your review of Burial Rites. :)

  13. THANKS for stopping by, Jennifer. Heading over to your blog.

Both of those books were so good. Glad I helped you with deciding to read them. Oh yes...I read The Kitchen House...loved it as well..thanks. THANKS for stopping, Rita.
