Stephen King for me as well, my post for this week is here :)http://bakeysbookblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/book-blogger-hop-4th-10th-october.html
Oh my, those hedge animals in The Shining, brrr....
I can't read him or any scary book. :)THANKS for stopping Samantha and maijareads.
OMG! Me too! This is my first time in a long time reading scary/horror books. I am doing the RIP Challenge this year and I have gone over board with the scare. I think I will be sleeping with a baseball bat under my pillow for the rest of the year. Great answer.
I avoid books that give me goosebumps.
I absoultely LOVE Stephen King. I have to read with the light on! no dark side table lamp or book light, full out bright lights!
I think for me the goosebumps came with my read of China Mieville, King Rat. The book is very well written, but certainly gave me goosebumps.
Alysia A....I would NEVER do a scary challenge. :) THANKS for stopping.I am glad to see you don't like scary books, Kathy.cynthiastacey...I CANNOT read Stephen King. :)Irene...you are brave. :) One Stephen King book and part of another one did me in. Can't read anything by him. :)THANKS for stopping everyone.
I don't read much Stephen King anymore either but I did read 11/22/63 about a year ago. It actually wasn't scary, like at all. Thanks for stopping by my hop :-)
Thanks for the info about one of his books not being scary, and thanks for stopping by.
I enjoy creepy books, what I don't like are gross, graphic descriptions, the serial killer type books. I don't usually have a problem with Stephen King. I'm reading Doctor Sleep now and it's not as scary as The Shining - or perhaps I've just gotten immune to him!
LOL....you must be getting immune. :)I tried Misery and another book of his but haven't read anything since then.THANKS so much for stopping by, Leslie.
I love any book that scares me.
LOL Vicki...not me.
The Calling by Inger Ash Wolfe; it literally made me gag.I tend to avoid horror stories not only for the goosebumps but because they give me nightmares.
I don't like scary stuff either. Gagging would really turn me off. Geeze...why would someone write something like that. :)THANKS for stopping, Carmen.
That more or less sums up exactly how I feel about Stephen King AND horror!
I'm a big chicken so I probably won't read Stephen King lol. But thanks for stopping by my blog!Kathy@My Nook, Books & More
I can't watch Stephen King movies, there is no way I would be able to read his stuff with my imagination. *shudder*
I am glad someone is with me on the scary stuff. :)THANKS for stopping by, Judith.
