Question of the Week:
Do you have a favorite place to read?
My Answer:
My favorite place to read is on my back porch in the summer months.
During the winter and when it is too chilly to be outside, I read on the loveseat in the family room or the couch in the living room.
I wish it were summer. So tired of snow and cold.

I have a corner of my office/library with a comfy chair and a good light. Usually, that is my preferred spot.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful.
DeleteA good light is something lacking when I am inside.

I'm not sure I have a favorite spot - maybe the chair in our computer room.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds cozy.

Those all sound like GREAT places to read! We don't have a back porch, but we do have a balcony. I never read there, though. It gets VERY hot down here in Miami! And when we get temps in the 50s or 60s, it's too cold for us Floridians....lol. But I still wish I could see snow at least once in my life! Then I could put the bay window to good use! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by and commenting on my BBH post! Happy Reading in your favorite places!! :)
You are welcome to any snow we have here. :)
DeleteTemps in the 50's and 60's would be heaven to me.

I love the idea of reading outside but it gets so hot here that it does get difficult. The few weeks out of the year when I can it's wonderful! I'm definitely done with winter as well!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too hot for me. :)

When its warm (not too warm), I love reading on the back porch. In the winter or when its too cold, I gather me, my book or kindle, and my laptop in the guest bedroom. :)

The guest bedroom is a good place. I need to think about that when my husband is sleeping.
DeleteI rarely read in bed, though.

I have a hard time reading outside but I try too when it starts to get warm!
ReplyDeleteMay I know why you you can't read outside?
DeleteThanks for stopping, Tonya.
I get distracted.. plus I read a lot on my kindle, and the glare is no good.
DeleteI hope to have a reading corner in the living room area by the fireplace. That would mean I'd have to locate the piano to a window area here in the dining area. A friend didn't think we should block a window while my mum thought it'd be fine. I think the latter is okay as only a third of the window would be blocked.
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds like a wonderful idea.

I read wherever it is comfortable and quiet!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea.

Do you live where there are mosquitos I cant read outside because they are so vicious here. But for a small time before they come alive I can but usually it is chilly then.

We have mosquitos, but no vicious ones.
DeleteThat has to be awful.

I can't wait for spring, when I can finally come home from work, make a cup of tea, and read on the back patio for a while every day!
ReplyDeleteToday is like spring. Not sure how long it will last, but I love it.

Back porch sounds lovely! No porches here, curse you city life, but definitely park benches and lawns during a light, breezy, summer day sound great right about now!
ReplyDeleteSorry you don't have a back porch.
DeletePark benches sounds good.

I need to spend more time reading on my patio glider outdoors. Maybe if I had a nicer view from there to look at. LOL I am more of an indoor reader, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteAwwww....too bad you can't enjoy reading outside very often.
DeleteI hope you give it a try.

In the summer I enjoy reading in a comfy chair in the back lawn. But my winter months I tend to read in bed or on the sofa. I am also tired of all this winter stuff!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I LOVE summer reading. :)
DeleteWinter needs to go. :)
