Book Blogger Hop - 2/5 - 2/11

 Question of the Week:

Does your significant other share your reading passion?
My Answer:

Unfortunately my husband does not share my reading passion, but my son does.

My son and I read and like most of the same books, but he does like a few genres that I don't read and vice versa.

  3. My husband does read, just not as much as I do. And different authors than me. Our daughter is not much of a reader, but she does love audiobooks.

  5. Yes he does. When we first got married our Friday date night was to go to Panera for dinner, wander over to Barnes & Noble for 2 two hours cruising the shelves and new books, then head to Starbucks with our purchases and talk. We moved and both are over an hours drive from our house but we still go weekly or bi-weekly together and sometimes alone depending on our work schedules.

    1. That is wonderful!!

I am happy I have others to discuss books with. My sisters and I talk a lot about books, and they ask me for recommendations.

I have a "lending library" for friends and family.

Luckily I get them all back.

      Thanks for stopping, Teri.

  7. My husband doesn't read, either, except for short articles on the Internet, and these are all related to either the latest news, or tech topics.

It's great, though, that your son DOES share your love of reading, and that he also likes many of the same books you do! At least you have a close relative that you can discuss books with.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my own BBH post! Happy Hopping!! : )

They can't believe how much I read. I tell them to try it. :)

  12. I'm a single bookworm, so I guess I can read all the books that I want to. However, if I ever do get married, hopefully she'll like books too.

  14. I think it's okay to be with someone who doesn't share your same love of books. It may stink when you find a book you really want to discuss, but you have your son to talk to. So that fixes that problem. Besides, you have all of us bookworms to chat with about books. :D

    Thanks for stopping by earlier!

    1. Oh yes....all of my bookworm friends are life savers when I want to talk about books. My son doesn't always read what I read or as much as I read.

  17. It must be nice to have some bonding time wih your son and do anything that involves books. :) I hope I experience the same when I grow older.

  18. It makes me sad that my daughter seems to not share my love of reading--but there's hope. She's still young. My husband is a reader, although not to the same degree I am.

    1. Men tend to read but not as voraciously as we do, but then again maybe I better not say that.

There are quite a few men who read a lot...I guess I just don't know any. :)
