      I actually like it better than her first book, The Pocket Wife. It was good too, but this seems a bit better.

    Black Rabbit Hall looks great, I saw a positive review on another blog just today for it. Sounds like it has loads of atmosphere and the descriptions sound great. I like how the cover looks like we're looking at the house through a very elaborate gate or something. Interesting...

    Well crafted but awhile to get interesting! Nicely said. Really I want to be drawn into a book fairly soon or I lose interest.

    Today I finished reading the Shakespeare play, The Merchant of Venice, because I am going to read Shylock is My Name by Howard Jacobson, a modern retelling just released. Now I am reading as fast as I can Crime and Punishment for a reading group this coming Sunday. It is actually quite readable!

    Elizabeth I'm only just getting to blogs and comments from last week - a week late. It looks like you enjoyed The Taxidermist's Daughter more than I did. I read it but really struggled!
