Question of the Week

Halloween Edition:

Name one book that scared you so badly that you couldn't finish reading it. (submitted by Billy)

My Answer:

Any book by Stephen King is always too scary for me.

I know it was one of his books, and notice that it scared me so much I don't even have a clue what the name of the book was. :)

I have never read another book of his.

  5. I don't mind a scary book though I have to be careful when I read them. Never home by myself! I haven't read King yet but I'm going to try a novella he has out that looks good. I'm not brave enough to attempt his full length books yet!

  8. I agree, Stephen King is too scary. I saw Salem's Lot when I was a kid and still sleep with the covers up to my neck.

  11. Stephen King is at the top of my list of writers to be avoided. As you know from reading my blog post, I made the HUGE mistake of reading one of his stories once. Unfortunately, I will never forget the plot, although I don't remember the name of this story.

I really don't see the point of subjecting myself to reading anything that will make me feel either uneasy, terrified, or sick to my stomach. These are the reactions I've had to reading the few materials I've encountered in the horror genre! Why some people actually say they ENJOY and LOVE this genre, is beyond me! Oh, well....I guess there are reading genres for everyone, right? Lol.

I do read paranormal romance and urban fantasy, as you know. I ADORE The Twilight Saga!! This might seem paradoxical, but there's a difference between these genres and the horror genre.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my BBH post!! Hope you're having a GREAT Sunday!! <3 :)

  12. I'm a Francophile so I'd grab Letters from Paris. I'm listening to Tangled Vines by Frances Dinkelspiel.
