I hope you had a good mailbox.Mine was empty for the second straight week.
The sad thing is that I didn't catch up on reading. I am in a bit of a reading slump. :(

Thanks for stopping.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful mailbox.
Have a great new week of reading.
Oh sorry you're in a reading slump. Maybe there's something on your "non-review" shelf? I have so many personal books (bought by me) that I want to get to but haven't had the time to read. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good suggestion, but nothing seems to interest me.
DeleteI started a mystery and read a few pages.
Thanks for the help, Mary, and for stopping.
Sorry about the reading slump. I'm sure you'll get past it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I hope.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Kathy.
I'm trying to pull myself up out of a reading slump.
ReplyDeleteI hope we both can get out of the slump.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Vicki.
It's good to take a break once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteIt is good.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Mary Ann.
I went through a horrible reading slump earlier in the year. It took a good murder mystery to get me out of it. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteColletta
I hope the murder mystery I am "trying" to read helps me get out of my slump.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Collettakay.
I've had reading slumps too. Sometime the mind just needs a break. Right now I'm on a reading binge. Just the opposite! You'll get your groove back.
ReplyDeleteI guess my mind is telling me to take a break.
DeleteI love reading binges. I have had a few of those. :)
I am sure my groove will return soon.
Thanks for stopping, Laura.
Hope you are enjoying reading from TBRs if you don't have new titles. A break might get you fresh energy for mew reading. :-)
ReplyDeleteHope your week is good.
I read a little last night....yippee!!
DeleteThanks, Martha, and thanks for stopping.
I understand. I, too, am in a bit of a slump right now. Too overwhelmed with politics to be able to concentrate. Maybe I'll get a little reading done during the readathon this weekend! Hope you work your way out of your slump!
ReplyDeleteIt seems as if a few of us are in a reading slump.
DeleteMaybe the time of year and things going on in our lives?
Thanks for stopping, nfmgirl.
I hope you get out of that reading slump soon. These empty mailbox weeks should be catch up weeks. :) You'll have to pick up something that's like reading candy to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Serena. I hope I can too.
DeleteLOL on the candy...thanks for stopping.
Hi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI'm more in a blogging and review slump, rather than a reading slump and I really do need to find my way through this rough patch and get back on track.
I seem able to cope with the promotional posts for any given book, however the reviews just never seem to materialise in a timely way.
I tried making myself stop and write the review just as soon as I had finished reading a book and whilst that sounded like the answer to my problem in theory, in practise it simpy hasn't worked that way, which is only making me angry with myself ... rather a self fulflling prophecy when alls said and done!
Relax and make the most of the short break, you'll be rushing to work on those posts again very soon, I'm sure :)
Yvonne
I imagine a blogging and review slump is worse than a reading slump. :)
DeleteI write my reviews as I read so they are pretty much complete when I am done with the book.
I hope we both get our MOJO back soon.
Thanks for stopping, Yvonne.
How about trying a favorite re-read? Or something off the backlist of an author you enjoy. That usually works for me.
ReplyDeleteI've been in a writing slump all summer. Not sure how to solve that one. I'm still reading, although not at my usual pace.
Thanks for the suggestions, Leslie.
DeleteI started a book the other day and have read a few pages. :)
Hopefully it will "wow" me and get me going.
I think a writing slump would be worse.
I read like crazy for a while, and then now this.
I actually was at my book club last night, and all but one person said they hardly read anything. :) Must be a trend.
Thanks for stopping, Leslie.
Oh, reading slumps :(
ReplyDeleteWhen I get one, I usually try to read different things or in different ways. Maybe short stories, or a new genre?
I wish you a good week!
Thanks for the ideas, Kay.
DeleteA new genre won't work for me. I am stubborn about what I read. LOL!!
I will come out of it and hopefully soon.
Thanks for stopping, Kay.
