Book Beginnings - 11/11/16

Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name.  *Taken directly from Rose City Reader's Blog Page.
My book beginnings is taken from LOVE ALICE by Barbara Davis:

"Saturday's roses were already beginning to fade.  She'd known better when she bought them---too delicate for the Carolina sun, even in late September---but she'd wanted something special.  They would have been celebrating their one-year anniversary today if William hadn't chosen to end his life just two weeks before they were set to walk down the aisle."

Another good mystery by Kate White.

Review will be on March 21, 2017.

A SIMPLE FAVOR by Darcey Bell

LOVED this book...a fantastic psychological thriller.

Review will be on March 16, 2017

STOLEN BEAUTY by Laurie Lico Albanese

I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't a favorite.  Marvelous writing and research, but the art information was a bit too much...I was lost.

Review will be on February 7, 2017.  Scary to write that year.

TWO DAYS GONE by Randall Silvis

Excellent mystery.

Review will be on January 10, 2017.

  3. The first few sentences of Love, Alice are so intriguing. I hadn't heard about the Book Beginnings meme before. Looks like fun.I will look for Kate Davis, too.

I'm also seriously impressed about how far in advance you schedule your reviews.

      Love, Alice is good.

I try to read ahead so I am not swamped all at once.
