My book beginnings is taken from THE GOOD DAUGHTER by Alexandra Burt:
"They stopped once for the night, in Albuquerque. The name of the city intrigued the girl, so she looked it up in the encyclopedia she carried with her. It was her prized possession."
Not too far into the book, but I am liking it.

I am out of town, but will try to visit everyone's posts.
I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good.

Having an encyclopedia as a prized possession is very telling about the character.
