I am almost finished with a book I received in my mailbox the week before.
ReplyDeleteIt is very good...THE SECRETS YOU KEEP by Kate White.
I hope you had an overflowing mailbox, and if you didn't, I hope you have found something wonderful to read from your shelves.
Thanks for stopping.
Yep, an empty mailbox from time to time is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to get books, but I agree an empty mailbox is a good thing too.
DeleteAs long as the books I want to read are popping in my mailbox from time to time, I am happy. :)
Thanks for stopping, Kathy.
Glad to hear you are enjoying The Secrets You Keep. have a great week Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat, and thanks for stopping.
DeleteI do enjoy an empty mailbox...especially if it means fewer review books. I am feeling caught up at the moment.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy reading your own books, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I love reviewing books, but it does get overwhelming when there are so many waiting.
DeleteI am pretty caught up too. Feels nice.
Thanks for stopping, Laurel.
Have a good week, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary, and thanks for stopping.
DeleteAn empty mailbox...is a mixed blessing! lol Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt is a mixed blessing.
DeleteDisappointing but also a relief. :)
Thanks for stopping, Melissa.
Sometimes it's nice to have an empty mailbox. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice at times.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Carol.
I've only been accepting a few books here and there for review, so my mailbox has been empty a lot this year. But, I'm ok with that too!
ReplyDeleteThe same here...not accepting as many books.
DeleteI also spread them out so I am not stressed about getting my review promise done.
Thanks for stopping, Vicki.
And you thought that my book this week was scary !!
ReplyDelete'The Secrets You Keep' sounds brilliant and I can't believe that I haven't come across this author before.
Luckily, this is a stand alone story, so adding it to my list works fine.
I hope that you are enjoying the read and I can't wait to see what your final thoughts are.
Thanks for bringing the author to my attention and have a good week :)
Yvonne
Kate White does have some good books.
DeleteThe other book I read by this author was EYES ON YOU.
Thank you for stopping, Yvonne.
The Secrets You Keep sounds really good. BTW, your Scotland photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Secrets You Keep. Excellent.
DeleteOh yes....I loved Scotland and especially The Isle of Skye.
My header is a photo I took in Portree, Scotland.
Thanks for stopping, Mary M.
I only had one new 'review' (ladies book club) book and that is a break for me too. Hope this is a good week for you.
ReplyDeleteMy week is good so far, thanks.
DeleteI have been slowing down on requesting books so I am not too disappointed in my empty mailbox.
Thanks for stopping, Martha.
I think books are our addiction. Even though I'm okay with an empty mailbox, I still feel disappointed when I don't find a package in it!!
ReplyDeleteYes...it is disappointing, but I have slowed down on requesting books so it is to be expected. :)
DeleteI cannot pass up a book I KNOW I will love, though. I definitely request that one. :)
Thanks for stopping, Laura.
Bookless mailboxes are great for catching up, I have no problem with that (though they rarely do happen, ha!)
ReplyDeleteI wish you a great week, in reading and everything else!
Thanks, Kay, and thanks for stopping.
DeleteBookless weeks are good at times.
Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou too, Mystica, and thanks for stopping.
