Question of the Week:
What was the one time you thought the movie was better than the book? (submitted by Tomi @ A Bookworm's Guide To Life)
My Answer:
I normally do not watch movies, but I did like THE BOOK THIEF better as a movie.
I thought the book was quite intense and difficult to read for being YA.
I liked the movie of PRACTICAL MAGIC better than the book. I also really liked HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT much better as a movie. That's all I can think of quickly. LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't know either of those movies.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Kay.
I found the NARNIA movies better than the books.
ReplyDeleteI know of this movie but didn't see it.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Laura.
Forrest Gump was better as a movie.
ReplyDeleteDidn't see that movie either. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping, Kathy.
I have neither seen this movie, nor read the book, so I really can't weigh in on this. I'll need to check out reviews for both, and see what most people think. I do want to read this novel, which is on my HUMONGOUS TBR, and watch the movie, too. Of course, the book ALWAYS comes first for me! Lol.
ReplyDeleteToday I'm answering this question at my other blog, MindSpirit Book Journeys. Here's the link:

I haven't seen the movie or read the book, although it was on my TBR for awhile. Just never got around to it.
ReplyDeleteYou may get to it some day.
DeleteThanks for stopping, Kym.
Oh interesting! I've been thinking about reading the book but the page count and the subject matter were scaring me off. I can definitely see how it would work better as a movie. I'll have to look for the movie!
ReplyDeletePlease look for the movie, Katherine.
DeleteThanks for stopping.
I haven't read The Book Thief or seen the movie! Though I dont have much interest in the book, I have been curious about the movie
ReplyDeleteThe movies was really good.
