Covers have been the reason I have given a book a closer look, but never the sole reason I buy a book or even decide to read it. I'm afraid I'm more picky than that. Haha.
I hope you have a great weekend, Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing!
I'm the same way! I always check out the synopsis but a beautiful cover will draw me in. I haven't always been that way, when I was younger I could totally go into a book store and start grabbing books off the shelves if it looked good. Now, present me doesn't even know how I did that. I probably wasted so much money on books I didn't even like. Hahaha.
Great answer! <3 hope you have a fantastic weekend Elizabeth!
A pretty cover always pulls me right in, but the synopsis is the deal breaker for me and whether I will make the purchase! I hope you have a lovely weekend Elizabeth :)
I always buy books based on the cover and the synopsis. If the cover is tacky or cheap looking but the synopsis is still good, then I could forgive the bad cover haha!

I do it all the time...and so far, so good!
ReplyDeleteI agree...so far so good for me too.
DeleteThe cover seems to reflect the inside in most cases.

I would look at a book because of its cover but don't think I've ever bought one because of it.
ReplyDeleteCovers are a draw.

Definitely take a first and second look when I see an appealing cover.

ReplyDeleteAgreed - usually the pretty cover means good things inside. :)

Definitely covers are the draw but I also pick up due to titles! <3
ReplyDeleteOh yes....a clever title gets my attention too.

The cover makes me check out a book, but it wouldn't be the reason I bought it.
ReplyDeleteSo many good thoughts from this question.

Yep, I definitely do this :) Who doesn't?
ReplyDeleteDifficult to not notice a gorgeous cover. :)

That makes sense to forgive the cover if the book is good. :)

I'm the same way: the covers draw me in and then I read the blurb.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Covers are my downfall. :)
