Book Blogger Hop - 10/20 - 10/26

 Question of the Week:
Off the book topic - What is your favorite scary movie? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

My Answer:

I don't do scary, but the scariest I get is REBECCA which isn't too scary.  :) :)

  1. That one sounds familiar...but I can't recall it. Also, too chicken to look it up! Lol!!

    1. It is a book turned into a movie.

The author is Daphne Du Maurier.

  5. It might not be scary but Rebecca is definitely creepy!

    1. Oh yes...very creepy.

      Love Mrs. Danvers.

      Thanks for commenting, Katherine.

  6. I don't think I know that one...

    1. Rebecca is a book by Daphne Du Maurier.

It was later made into a movie. Not horror, just gothic and creepy.

      Thanks for commenting, Nicola.

  7. Sorry about the late comment, Elizabeth....but here I am now! Lol.

I don't do scary movies, either. I do remember watching "The Birds", the Alfred Hitchcock movie, several years ago. I don't think I watched all of it, though. It was REALLY scary, but I would NEVER call it "my favorite scary movie", as I don't enjoy such movies. I think I watched it accidentally! Lol.

As for "Rebecca", yeah, that was a bit on the scary side, with that evil Mrs. Danders.... Now here's a case where I preferred THE MOVIE to the book, because of the way Rebecca's demise was handled in the movie, as opposed to the book. You know what I mean!

On the other hand, I LOVED the prose in the novel! So I ended up with some very mixed feelings about it.... :(

Hope you had a GREAT weekend, and an even GREATER week!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :_) :) :)

    1. Oh yes...the movie was very good. It was pretty creepy, but it is manageable. Love Mrs. Danvers.

Scary isn't for me at all...books or movies.

      Thanks for commenting, Maria.

    2. Hi, again! I came back to see your reply, and noticed that I had typed "Danders" instead of "Danvers"! LOL. LOL. LOL. Maybe my subconscious was trying to say something.... :) :) :)

    3. worries.

      Thanks for coming back.
