Question of the Week:
Question of the Week:
Name one classic novel you have always wanted to read. (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
My Answer:
Well...reading classics aren't books I want to read. :) I read enough of them in high school. :)
I have never read THE GREAT GATSBY so if I ever wanted to read a classic, I may read it.
I honestly never got into that one myself. I couldn't see why it was a popular choice. Of course every time I was forced to read a book in school I kept thinking how much better it would be if there was a vampire or werewolf in it! Lol!!

LOL...vampires and werewolves would have made the books interesting even though I don't read books with them in it. :)
DeleteI was in high school in the 60's...not sure how that would have gone over, though. LOL!!

I can't think of a classic I'd like to read that I haven't already read.
ReplyDeleteThat is great you have read quite a few.

It's a shame school seems to ruin classics for so many people.
ReplyDeleteGatsby would be a good one to try though as it is short and pretty easy reading.
It sounds good.

There are still a couple of Charles Dickens' novels I'd like to read: Bleak House (I've seen the TV series) and Martin Chuzzlewit. The trouble with Dickens' novels is that they are very long and I have so many other shorter novels in my TBR pile. One classic I have recently added is Ovington's Bank by Stanley J. Weyman.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Ovington's Bank.
