Question of the Week:
Question of the Week:
At the end of a hard day, how do you get yourself psyched about writing a book review? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
My Answer:
Love this question...making me chuckle, Billy.
I actually try to not write reviews at the end of the day, but I guess I would psyche myself by reminding myself what a great book it was and how I want everyone to know about it.
I write the review whenever I find the time. I normally have about 3 or 4 books to review then I try to finish them all. Never at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteI write mine immediately after I am done reading the book.
DeleteActually I write while I am reading.

I guess I'm the outcast here. I'll write the review soon after I finish the book regardless of the time and energy. If it's late night read and I'm done, I'll force myself to write it because sleep will take away all my fresh thoughts!

I write the review as I am reading and then just "fix it up."
DeleteThat way it is DONE no matter when I finish reading the book.
Thanks for commenting, Jessica.
Sometimes it's really hard to do.
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to write late at night.
DeleteThat is why I write as I read.

Motivation is definitely a good point to make.

Just like you, I write while I read. Makes it so much easier when its time to post.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the BEST??
DeleteSo much easier for sure. :)

I jot down notes as I'm reading. As I'm a morning person, most of my reviews are written in the morning. Sometimes I write reviews in the evenings but find it much harder. Too many distractions at that time!
ReplyDeleteMornings are better for me too, but I like my method of writing as I read so I can easily finish one in the evening too.
