A twisty read for historical fiction and mystery fans.

AN HONEST LIE by Tarryn Fisher - review will be on April 29.
 
It is well written, but intense, chilling, and disturbing.   A difficult read.

THE PARIS SHOWROOM by Juliet Blackwell - review will be on April 22.
 
Another excellent, educational read by Juliet Blackwell.

 THE KEW GARDENS GIRLS AT WAR by Posy Lovell - review will be on April 21.
 
A lovely, lovely read despite the heartbreaks of WWII.

THE UNINVITED GUEST by Karen McQuestion - review will be on April 9.
 
Another terrific mystery by Karen McQuestion.

THE SCHOOL FOR GERMAN BRIDES by Aimie K. Runyan - review will be on April 28.
 
Heartbreaking but very good....you will be anxious to get back to this book.

I'LL BE YOU by Janelle Brown - review will be on April 27. 2022.
 
A different story line...secrets, lies, bad decisions, and unbelievable surprises.  It was a bit intense because there was a cult in the book.

LITTLE SOULS by Sandra Dallas - review will be on April 26, 2022.
 
About the pandemic of 1918 and includes a murder and kidnapping.

SHADOWS OF BERLIN by David R. Gillham - review will be on April 19.
 
Another amazing, but heartbreaking gem by this author.

MRS. ENGLAND by Stacey Halls - review will be on April 16.
 
SO GOOD...gothic with the perfect eerie landscape for the novel.

LAST DANCE ON THE STARLIGHT PIER by Sarah Bird - review will be on April 12.
 
Fun to learn about the dance marathons in the 1920s and 1930s, but too long.

THE SHADOW HOUSE by Anna Downes - review will be on April 6.
 
Not a favorite...a bit confusing and too much sci-fi/paranormal for me.

THE YOUNGER WIFE by Sally Hepworth - review will be on April 5, 2022.
 
Another good one by Sally Hepworth...family drama, lies, secrets.

THE BOOK OF COLD CASES by Simone St. James - review is in the book's title.
 
Fans of Simone St. James won't want to miss her chilling, ghostly, can't-put-down newest.

UNDER THE GOLDEN SUN by Jenny Ashcroft - review is in the book's title.
 
LOVED IT!!

THE GOLDEN COUPLE by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkannen - review is in the book's title.
 
It is a good one!!  
 
Domestic thriller and family drama fans won't want to miss this one.

Dragged a bit, but the story line ended up being ok.

  3. So many good books on your list. Several of them are waiting for me on my NetGalley shelf, like The Younger Wife and Stay Awake; I read and loved The Golden Couple and I have been eyeing Home-Wreckers.
