The Guest by B.A. Paris

Exhausted and ready to head to sleep, Iris and Gabriel are shocked to see someone is in their house.

Thankfully it is only their friend Laure.  She tells them she and her husband are having some troubles because of a secret he has been keeping.

She asks if she can stay a few days since she and Pierre need some space.

Sure...no problem.

Well it became a problem when she starting wearing Iris's clothes, rearranging the kitchen, and making no moves to leave.

Meanwhile Gabriel is keeping a secret about what a friend he found dying asked him to tell his mother.

And...new neighbors and a gardener seem to have secrets too.

Then it all falls apart because two people are found dead a few days apart.

Who is the murderer?  Who are the victims?

So many secrets kept and finally revealed in this slow burn novel that will have you turning the pages quickly and also scratching your head as things are revealed.

Are all the secrets connected and no one knows it?

What an ending....another good one from Ms. Paris.  4/5

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
